At OrderUp, we’re reimagining the delivery process through technology for consumers, restaurants, and drivers. We’re flipping the delivery driver profile on its head - with our driver partners, it’s all about community and building a fun, flexible, and rewarding culture that everyone can take part in.


How do I get started?

It’s easy! Just click on the “Apply” button, fill out your contact information and schedule a phone interview with one of our Recruiting Specialists.

What steps do I have to go through to become a driver partner?

The first step is doing a phone interview with an OrderUp Recruiting Specialist. After that is the Orientation stage, where you can learn more about the driving opportunity and get your questions answered. After the Orientation stage, we'll conduct a background check to make sure you're eligible to drive with us. If that clears, you'll be moved into Onboarding, which will provide you with all of the information and knowledge you'll need to get out on the road and delivering!

How long does it take before I can get out on the road?

It depends, but most of our drivers can be on the road in as little as a week. We hold Orientation and Onboarding sessions almost daily.

How does payment work?

Driver partners are paid once a week via direct deposit (for work from the prior week). Drivers earn a commission on the delivery fee we charge consumers, plus 100% of tips.

What is the Orientation stage?

The Orientation stage is a meet and greet session with our local Delivery Operations Managers, where you can learn more about the driving opportunity with OrderUp. At these sessions, you’ll receive information about:

  • OrderUp’s origins and our vision for delivery
  • Our driver culture and core values (the Boom Crew!)
  • What you should expect if you were to become a driver partner

Please note that this is an evaluation stage - both for you to consider the driving opportunity, and for the Delivery Ops Manager to consider whether you’re the right fit to work with us. We will want to spend some time getting to know you here - so please bring your questions and feel free to showcase your personality!

If you are still interested in driving with us after the Orientation session, and the Delivery Ops Manager decides you are the right fit, we will initiate your background check. If that clears, you’ll be moved into the Onboarding stage, which will fully prepare you to get out on the road and start delivering.
